I, like so many others are impressed with your ability to really portray a creepy guy..the first time we got to see Ethan he looked perfectly harmless..talk about a wolf in sheep clothing! I had no clue that he'd be that scary! So I am really impressed that you managed to bring out a character wich really fooled us viewers at first only to scare the living daylights out of us the next lol! Well done!

Then I got to ask, cos Josh Holloway has had some weird reactions from ppl in real life cos of his Sawyer character. He told a story about a 70 year old man who were so "kind" to tell him that "every time I see you on screen I want to slap you!" nice huh? (this story was told on his Kimmel appearance.

The reason why I bring this up is have you had any similar reaction to your portrayal as Ethan? If so how do you deal with this? I personally hope that ppl come up to you and COMPLEMENT you on a job well done instead of being so ridiculously rude!

And yes i have seen you in Mission Impossible 2 as welll :) you do villains perfectly! :D

thank you for the kind words.
i wouldn't call them bad encounters, but i have had a number of people accost me with the news that i'm (pick one) evil, mean, cruel, bad, scary, creepy, awful, etc. mostly from 'lost' and 'in the bedroom'. the char from the latter really got under womens' skin.

Thanks for answering my question that quick! I am impressed how you are able to deal with some fan's reactions...I just find it very strange that ppl seem to "loose grip on reality" at times. I do understand it can be a sort of a compliment too..but still there should be a realization that ppl you see on movies and TV are ACTORS and that means a nice guy in real live can portray a freak, bastard or whatever and vice versa LOL.

Now I wonder if you'll get to play a "good guy" sometime? That would be interesting too!

i've had some such roles---without limits, the grudge, moving mcallister (just shot). of course no chars are really good or evil. they're just shades of grey. there's really only one way to divide them: either they live in jungles and kidnap babies, or they don't.

You just gave me a reason to watch the Grudge atleast then! Thanks for the tip!

LOL either they live in the jungles or kidnap babies...good one!! :lol2:

Well humans are neither good or evil but a lil bit of both so yeah I can agree with you on that. Heh..maybe there is something really good in Ethan too then..too bad we didn't get to see THAT part (or will we?? With this show you'll never know huh?? The plot thickens...)
