Paley Center in LA (http://paleycenter.org/paleyfest-fall-2009-tv-preview-parties-la)

The Paley Center, formerly known as the Museum of Television and Radio, hosts a series of screenings and panels in September for the new Fall season of Pilots. FlashForward will be included on the night for ABC (they divide them by network). There is a Paley Center in LA and one in NYC, so make sure to look at both depending on which coast you are on.

Tickets are free, you just gotta go select them and request them and then print the confirmation.

There are no tickets left. :(

Surprised that the CW one isn't full with Vampire Diaries being on the program.

OH dear, that was fast. I was going to get more than one ticket, but was not sure if you'd want to go. Now I'm rather bummed I didn't.

I'm going to see if my boss can get me a ticket through Disney.

Let me know if you have any luck.

I have a friend who always goes to these events as well, and since I'm going to some of the earlier days, I'll ask if they have an extra pass to the ABC day if you haven't come up with anything by then.

Yay! I got a e-ticket.

I'm pretty sure I could have gotten one through Disney but I'd rather save those favors.

The other one I saw at Paley was for "MacGyver". Years ago, I applied for a job on the production and had a few conversations with the production manager, she was there and I introduced myself. She happened to remember me.

This event is much smaller than the big Paley Festival, which is now held at the Arclight in the Cineramadome. The theater at the Paley center doesn't even hold 100 people, so it's really intimate and nice. They usually do overflow in the library, the lobby area and up on the roof. It's kinda nice to watch shows while sitting on a couch under the stars in Beverly Hills, but with the weather we've been having lately, maybe a wee bit too cold.

I try to get there earlier and get inside to have a real seat, but since I work down in Irvine, that's always a bit iffy. I'll be doing the CBS and NBC previews beforehand, so I'll be able to test out the drive time.

And yay, we can hang out.

The MacGyver one was when it was still the Museum of Television and Radio. I can be there anytime since I shouldn't have to work that day.

I was at the Macgyver event too, when the festival screened at the DGA, it was a lot of fun. I was there with a bunch of Rickie Dee fans, we got to stay afterwards and chat with him and get photos. It was rather awesome. It was nice seeing Dana Elcar even though he was quite blind by then.

And yup, I'll see you there when I get there, for me I'll be there whenever the freeway allows me to get there.
