First off, Jorge gets an extra special shout out for taking more time than I imagined he would be able to, to go through the VIP section and answer so many threads. I think The Javi might have more posts but I haven't checked and of course what board would be complete without The Fury, but The Jorge has to be my favorite.
Now onto the point of this thread...
I am constantly amazed by the reaction from fans of this show, young and old. ANYONE I've come across who's seen the show is completely addicted and that is something truly amazing. As a creator myself (graphics and such) I can only hope to achieve a tenth of the success with my own works that you guys have with Lost. One way or another this show will be remembered for years to come even after it's off ABC and in syndication somewhere.
It's amazing to see little nods to the fans in the show and read the input from its creators and the "community" feel the show generates is unbelieveable. I've spoken to some people who were in hum drum moods, and casually asked "Hey, do you watch Lost?" and their eyes light up, they sit forward and the conversation starts right up..."What do you think the monster is?" "What about this, what about that...?"
Great work, a project you should all feel extremely proud of. You are definitely appreciated.
BTW, Jorge, the Hurley character is quickly becoming a major fan favorite so I hope you're ready for the Shatner treatment at any future Lost cons. I've never seen any of your other works before Lost, but imagine that because of Lost, we'll be seeing you all over the place in the next few years.
We need some new comedic blood in Hollyweird. Someone I know mentioned Jack Black in comparison to you and I blew that off with "Screw Jack Black, this guy Jorge Garcia has way more presence than that doof." If Black were on the island I'd be lobbying for a Mystery Monster feeding with him as the first course, but with Hurley, man I hope they don't screw with a character beloved by all.
See you around the boards.
