What if in the final few minutes of the finale we learned that they actually were all subjects to a big scientific experiment. I remember back in season 2 when people theorized about that I used to hate the idea but now that it is out of everyone's mind since the show has taken more of a... supernatural turn, I think it would be an awesome twist and a cool explanation if it tied up all the loose ends.

I don't think it would be possible anymore in fact I'm absolutely certain it's impossible especially not with the flashsideways, the timetravel, this episode and much more. However what if the bodies really were 50 year old like Jack said it could proove to us that TPTB really knew what they were doing. What if the sideways was the losties after the experiment and with no memories of it. I know it's not gonna happen and would probably be full of inconsistencies I just find it something interesting to think about. Anybody has any idea on how they could make this idea work?
