Hi!

I've been reading the replies you posted, and I'm so happy, and honored that you would try to answer our questions. And, we have a lot of them.
I haven't read everything, so I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but I was just thinking about your character, and I had a few questions.

1.) When playing the role of Nadia, how did you prepare?

2.) Do you think that your role may have influenced young Arabs? I'm Arab, so I'm curious because we're very seldomly shown as actual people, we get usually stereotyped as the terrorists or something.

3.) What do you think happened to Nadia, and do you think she and Sayid will ever meet again?

Thanks a lot for your time if you decide to reply to this. :D

1) Hey there. Preparing for a scene I usually try to get very centered and focus on the "actor stuff.' like what's at stake, who I am, what I've been through, what I want, what I care about. That kind of thing. Then once you start shooting, you have to trust that it's all there so you can let the process become inspired by the other person (people)-- letting them effect you and trying to effect them.
2) I would love to think that my role has influenced young Arabs... So many of the love stories out today are about Americans... The whole "romantic comedy" genre are basically about the same types of people. Not that the Sayid/Nadia storyline was a romantic comedy :-[ But it was certainly young and romantic and very passionate. I love the idea of Sayid being a romantic hero (which he is) and not just a technically adept "military guy." I'd wager that you'll see more levels to all the characters on the island as the series progresses.
3) Sure I have my own fantasies of what happened to Nadia after escaping. But just as she sprang from the fertile and mystical mind of the Fury, I leave her fate in the hands of these uber-talented writers. If there's more to the story, I'm sure it will be told. But first off, I would imagine a bath and a meal would be in order. And maybe a hug. ;)

Thanks a lot for replying. Well, I gotta say that I loved the Sayid/Nadia pairing, and I love the fact that he's not just the usual Arab dude that's there just to threaten or something.

I do think of Sayid as a "romantic" hero, as in the person who loved, lost, hurt people, but who now is trying to become a better person, and not just sink into bitterness.

Thanks a lot, and good luck on any project you may have, cause you deserve it. Coming out here to talk to us fans. It so rocks! Also happy holidays! Sending tons of good vibes your way!

I shall now go to bed, it's 6 30 am.
