Hi William,
My twin sister and I met you at the Lost convention in Burbank. We're big fans of In The Bedroom, so I hope you will indulge a question about that film in the midst of all this Lost stuff. I felt that In The Bedroom was filled with such great performances (including yours!) and was directed with such sensitivity by Todd Field. I really look forward to seeing the other films he makes in his career.
In what ways was it different for you being directed by a director who is also an actor than by a director who doesn't have that acting experience? Did you find that Todd was more open or flexible or trusting with your choices than another (non-actor) director might have been? I'm just curious about what that experience was like for you.
Also, how did Todd Field come to cast you in In The Bedroom? Did you know him beforehand and/or have to audition?
Thanks for indulging these non-Lost questions, but they were questions I didn't have time to ask at the convention.
I hope all is well with you.
Take care,
Martha (aka ILoveLocke)
