I don’t know if an answer to this question would give away too much, but I will at least give it a try asking…even if it doesn’t seem to make much sense out of context.
Regarding your comment the other day that Locke is happy on that island (which probably nobody will deny at the moment) - isn’t he way, way happier on the island than he used to be before the crash?
His development is quite - well - Phoenix from the ashes-like up to now and I can’t see any particular reason why he should actually want to get away from there any time soon (other than a lot of the other characters. But there surely are quite a lot of things we didn’t get to know yet – so I’ll gladly stand corrected in some weeks or months).
Something completely different – this question-post is a rather one-way-thing… anything you would want to ask the posters here? ;)
Thanks again =)

Ceirdwyn, I'd have to agree with you that, as far as we've seen, Locke has no reason to want to go back to civilization. The Island is pretty much of a paradise so far. I don't know what's in store for him in the future but it occurs to me that he may get a little lonely somewhere down the road. I'm not sure how the writers plan to handle that if at all. Perhaps he's operating on a higher plane? I don't know. I don't think I'd care for a plane that high but.................we'll see.
Yes, one question. Is there any danger of some of the "magic" (for lack of a better word) being lost when you can talk to cast members? Do you ever wish you hadn't?

Terry.... ok. This hit me somewhat unexpected way too early in the morning.
Wasn’t this post buried somewhere on page 5?
It’s rude to answer with a counter-question?
Is there any danger that all the love and appreciation you get here will get annoying at some point and stop you from coming? Or a Yes as an answer to that question? :'(
Paranoia and joking aside...
Did you turn out to be some brainless self-centred arrogant maniac since you first posted here? No.
That would have probably the one thing that would have ruined something for me personally. But it would have the same effect with every other person as well.
On a more general note:
Despite the fact that actors create both illusions and magic with their craft, there is, at least for me, no such thing as ‘magic’ when it comes down to actors themselves.
There are things like…. Admiration for what someone does and for what he/she might go through to achieve what they’re aiming for. Or admiration for something a person believes in and fights for. Or moral courage. List is endless. I figure you got the point. If that's what we call magic...
I’d show my appreciation for it all the same if it was my father, the neighbour or some random other person. And I’d ask them an equal amount of weird questions.
Plus… as you to mentioned more than once… life might be good. But it can be short, too and who knows if there’s a second chance ;) So – if this wasn’t already clear – I love your work, not only on Lost but all the years before that, too (apart from the exceptions mentioned in the other post ;)). And I happen to enjoy a certain bathroom scene in SF Did I just say that? :D
Also – thanks for feeding my curious inner child with answers to an endless amount of question and for coming here to play with us =)
Somehow I feel I’m getting off topic...
To make a long story short – no. Absolutely no danger to ruin any kind of magic.
In fact, it just adds to the magic (my definition of it at least).
Also - no regrets talking to anyone here!
Regarding the magic you and the others create with that TV show which got us all addicted to some degree…
No worries. No danger to ruin anything for me personally as long as you don’t run around telling me what the monster (if it exists) or the island’s secret is.
Because honestly? I so don’t want to know that. Yet.
Apart from that – I see what you and other cast members post it as just another opinion on the series and the characters. More food for thoughts!
Speculation is way too much fun!
As for Locke… I actually figured he’d get disappointed first, realising that he can’t influence the other survivors to the extend he tries to (‘tis of course just my opinion. And ‘influence’ is used in lack of a better word since ‘manipulate’ is too often regarded as negative) and start feeling lonely way after that.
But… how far would he be willing to go when disappointed or lonely? Or would he fall back in pre-crash/past-whatever-caused-the-paralysis-behaviour?
No more planes please.... no matter how high.... Plane bad - Island pretty... Or something.
Kerstin
edit: Oh boy... that kinda got out of hand. Sorry 'bout that :D
Don't hate me. Much. ;)
Edited after reading other people’s answers to the question which I avoided before.
(I swear I’ll stop after that!)
Do the answers ruin something for you?
And… since you wrote that you are here quite a lot...
Do all the theories and ideas about Locke change the way you approach the portrayal of the character?
