I just read an interview with you where you say, "The island just serves as a conduit to tell character stories," he says. "No one is really watching the show for the answers to those mysteries. They're watching to see: Will Kate and Jack hook up?"

I hope you don't really think that's what keeps viewing watching! That's about as misguided an interpretation of your viewers as you can get.... Try checking out the ABC Lost message boards, try catching up with fans on this site.... you may get a clearer perspective on what viewers REALLY want (here's a clue: exactly what you said they don't want. Clear enough?)
