Hi there!

First of all I would like to say how incredible cool it is that you actually take the time to answer silly fan's question...it means a lot to us, really... :D

I'm really brave now and will ask a question...because...I'm from Germany and I've just recently discovered the TV show 'Becker' which is aired here in the middle of the night (don't ask why I'm up that late...*lol* ) and which I think is incredibly funny...and guess how 'shocked' I was when I suddenly saw your familiar face there! :o So what I would like to know (or what I have been pondering about) is: in how far is working on a show like 'Becker' different from 'Lost'? And which character was/is more difficult to play? And I know this is a mean question but I'll ask it anywhoo - which show/character do you like better? Hector or Hurley?

Finally I'd like to say that you're an awesome actor and me me laugh every time...keep on the great work!

Love
Steffi

Hmmmm... Good question.
Becker is totally different from Lost. For one Becker was a show we did in front of an audience which is a great deal of fun. In fact I am very happy that my next show was a totally different kind of show because I loved my experience at Becker and if I had landed a part on another sitcom I know I would constanlty feel like "this is so not Becker." As for difficulty I must say both had their challenges but neither is harder or easier than the other they are just different. I think Hurley allows me to tap into more aspects of my persona and emotional range but I don't see that as a hard thing, it what actors do. Also I'm not going to pick a favorite. But I will say I really love being Hurley and it looks like I'll get to be Hurley a lot longer than I got to do Hector. Also being Hurley allowed me to do something I never thought I'd ever do as an actor (Run away from an exploding wing and dive into the sand) something usually reserved for more serious and athletic types.

And I'm glad you were allowed to run away from an exploding plane and all that stuff... ;)
