William, I thought you might enjoy this...I saw some people discussing Ethan Rom's name on a couple other forums.

We all know that 'Ethan Rom' is an anagram for 'Other Man', but what ELSE is it an anagram for? Maybe this will reveal more insight to why Ethan was on the island, and why he wanted Claire and her baby...

'More Than': Ethan's super-human strength when fighting Jack explains why he's 'more than' human.

'The Roman': Maybe he was lying about being Canadian. This goes along with...
'Math Nero': A former emperor of Rome, who also just happens to be a math wizard.

'Ma Hornet': Maybe that black cloud we saw as part of the 'monster' is a swarm of hornets, controlled by Ethan, who they think is their mother.

'Not Harem': He obviously kidnapped Claire for reasons other than to make her one of his concubines.

'Hate Norm': He just wanted to take Claire away to give her a stern talking-to that she is not to name her baby 'Norm', because Ethan hates that name.

'Amen Thor': He worships the Norse thunder god.

'Matron Eh': The 'eh' is Canadian slang, which Ethan claims he is. 'Matron' is from the Latin for 'mother'. So Claire wants to be a "Matron, Eh? Not on MY island!"

'Hot Ramen': Must have been what Ethan ate while he was on the island. Maybe a crate of ramen noodles washed up at some point.

'Aron Meth': We're short one 'A' here, but maybe Ethan wanted to sell Claire's baby Aaron for drugs...if he was a drug fiend, that would explain why he tried to kill Charlie...to get at his stash.

this is fantastic. i had no idea there was so much going on in that guy. if i ever get a chance to get inside him again, i'll have to incorporate all of this!
