Browsing thru the site I saw your mention of Natacha Atlas and agree that she's amazing! I heard her a long time back on one of Jah Wobble's albums and was blown away! I really adore so many of the female vocalists he features from all over the world... if you haven't already, check out his albums "Rising Above Bedlam" "Take Me To God" and "Heaven and Earth." It was hard to run into her work back then, but I managed to find a vinyl release of Leysh nat'arak back in 95 or 96. It is pretty inspiring to read articles about her and translations of many of her lyrics at http://www.natachaatlas.com
Have you also heard The Golden Palominos? very lovely female vocals, although the songs that I love are all in English with them in the albums "Pure" and "This Is How It Feels." and particularly love the lyrics when a delicate and sweet, innocent sounding voice sings these lines in the song "I'm Not Sorry":
you want a woman without passion?
you want it easy, well get a dog then.
you can't take much, can you baby?
well i'm not sorry, i'm not sorry
follow all the little rules
even tempered and cool
keep it under my hat,
well i can't do that
Anyhow, obviously your character was very well received on Lost, hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of you whether on Lost or other shows! Good luck!
