I know this is probably obvious to a lot of people, but just wanted to hear what a few people had to say about it. desmond and the inside of the hatch just had a big 80's feel to it......from the music, to the old computer, etc.......

Dont really know what to make of it.....yet.

It's interesting though because even though everything else down there looks retro, his washer and dryer are brand new.

I also noticed that he has like 5 bottles of detergent. Maybe he's just a laundry freak.

Well, the washer and drier he had were ones that were released only within the past few years. So, whereever he is has been visited by or in contact with someone from outside the island recently. Either that, or they just messed up when trying to pick a good washer/drier combo :D

haha i love that you guys noticed the strange...modern-ness of the washer and dryer. i totally noticed that too.

maybe he has some contact with the outside world? and he didnt seem to be using anything sparingly, as if he only had a certain amount. so maybe he gets supplies somehow?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I also thought of Danielle's expedition....

yeah my mom was like...how does he have EGGS to make breakfast with?? haha. I found that whole scene to be insanely awesome.
