Had soccer practice right before so the kids had to eat in front of the TV....Needless to say. all the food went cold as everyone was so enthralled that eating became secondary....
Mom's take - really glad that there is a weird man, emphasis on man in the hatch...If there would have been little green martians it would have crossed to quickly into the X file realm....Her most thought provoking comment was "it's really cool how the show is taking us further and further away from reality. They are doing it in such little steps that we don't realize how far from normal we are in this show. What was strange is now normal...
Mom is back on the fence with Locke...First, she thought he was weird, then she loved him, now she's back on the fence between Love and Weird...
Mom thnks Malcom David Kelly is awesome...Great skilss for such a little guy.
1st of 4: Desmond really creeped her out...She didn't see him coming. She was totally surprised at the end of the ep...Thought Jack looked stange in his Joey and Chandler hair cut....Concurred with Hurley's - "Your's Sucks" comment...
2nd of 4 - Had lots of questions? What was that guy shooting in his arm? Where did Locke get that wire?
Why was Walt wet? Why was Walt there? Why did he whisper? What does Quarantine mean?
His nail biting moment came when Kate was going into the hatch....When Locke almost dropped her and then when she disappeared - He was frightened.
3rd of 4 - Snuggled up to mom for the first half of the show. Then crawled under the cushions and was quiet the for the rest of the episode. She doesn't think Jack is brave enough. She said, "He looks scared."
4th of 4: Why is that boy wet? Where's him's Daddy? He had a nervous giggle and wiggled and squirmed the entire show.
Me - Thought Jack's return to the camp and speech were rushed. Loved Christian Sheppard's approach...He seemed fairly stable...Very Fatherly...
Jack's Tour de Stade and Desmond's scene was well done....Couldn't place Desmond's accent...seemed Scot/Irish not Aussie....Still don't know how I feel about the character, will see....
Thought Locke's return to the hatch seemed forced, not sure if I would have moved it that fast but understand that pressure to show what's in the hatch is on....
Show moved very quickly - had to watch it twice to see the things I wanted to see again....
Loved it and look forward to this season....
