Has anyone who Tivo'd the episode last night figured out what Desmond typed into the computer before hitting "execute"? I have a feeling it could be relevant, and I think it's something that could be seen if you replayed it slowly enough and had a keyboard in front of you.

Looked like the magic numbers to me

Speaking as a touch typist who watched this scene very closely, it's definitely the magic numbers. The camera is very careful to capture the keys in relation to each other, and I'm absolutely convinced that it's 4 8 15 16 23 42 EXECUTE.

I replayed the episode and tried to figure this out. The first number could be a 4, but after that I do not think there is anyway to know what he is typing. They do not show enough of the keyboard while he is typing. (Besides the execute button)

If you do a search for the name Desmond - it means "man of the world." INTERESTING!!!!

He's definitely typing the numbers. It's the right number of clicks if you realize that he's putting spaces between them. And I clearly see him hit "16" He's just using the numbers for all kinds of things! Bad Desmond!
