Hugo's the most lovable one of the group. everyone else seems to have some kind of dark side. i just know i'm wrong, but i'm hoping hugo's the "pure soul" of the group. or am i just rambling??? :)

I said it before and I am ready to say it again: Hugo is a PRINCE!

Seriously: Jorge as Hurley? Funniest man on TV at the moment. Priceless timing. Jorge as well as Hurley are - there's no other word for it - COOL.

P.S.: "Pee on my foot!"

Hurley is the best. One of the most "real" characters on television. I think a lot of people can relate to him. He just seems like a real person.

Plus Jorge is such a super nice guy. What's there not to like?

You know... I am seriously in favour of renaming this the "Official Hurley Adoption-Thread"!

But until then... you can sign the official "Everybody loves Hugo" wall I just created.

ENJOY!

(P.S.: That one line says "I am having your love child!", but it was cut off, hehe.)

EDIT:

LINK DELETED BECAUSE SOME IDIOT THOUGHT IT FUNNY TO SPOIL THIS WHOLE IDEA BY WRITING PORN ON THE WALL. THANKS FOR NOTHING, YOU DORK.

Apparently I do. But on the island, nothing is what it seems.

Everytime I read the name of the episode it cracked me up, so when it came time to choose a user name, what else could I go for.

Hurley is the mastermind behind it all. We are set up to believe that he is all "loving" and "adorable" but deep down inside him exists the bowels of evil, and soon he will reveal himself and his wrath.

hoohooohooowwwaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!! he! he!

Hurley is the mastermind behind it all. We are set up to believe that he is all "loving" and "adorable" but deep down inside him exists the bowls of evil, and soon he will reveal himself and his wrath.

hoohooohooowwwaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!! he! he!

Actually, I for one do not believe, that he is just loving and adorable at all - OR a simpleton for that matter as many people seem to believe he is. In fact I think Hurley is a surprisingly clever person and he has some remarkable skills that suggest he has the best social skills of all the survivors (think of the golf course, the census, asking Sayid to talk to Charlie after he shot Ethan etc. - the list goes on and on).

You know, Jack may be the leader of this group of survivors, but whether or not he makes a GOOD leader what have to be a matter of discussion. There are quite a few moments when he is not - the moments when his past gets in the way of his judgement. I find that in many ways Hurley outbeats Jack. He certainly does when it comes to said social abilities, to do things not for himself but in the interest of the community. Jack may have the brain and Locke may have... well all sorts of things (grin!)... but it is Hurley that is the one with the common sense. He seems to instinctively realize what is best for the group and he has a kind of diplomatic skill as well if you think of the way he talked the manifest out of Sawyer ("dude, you could really use the points").

And don't get me wrong: I am sure we will get to see the darker side or sides of Hurley as well as we go along, yet the fact remains that he has this remarkably strong instinct as to what it is his fellow men and women need and how they can be helped within the limitations of the island.

I must say I love ALL of the characters. Every single one of them has a story of light and darkness. Every single one of them is in one way or another interesting. But if I had to make a choice I would say I am most intrigued with Locke and Hurley as I feel they both have yet such a major part to play in all of this and because I feel I have soooo not worked out where they are going from here.

So Hugo, dude, you can pee on my foot any time you like.

BTW, which one of you actually proposed to Hugo on the "Everybody loves Hugo" wall I posted on the first page of this thread? That was so sweet!

Hugo is my KING, and I loves him.

(Like I keep telling people...there IS a reason his last name is Reyes...he will rule the Island before long! )

Hurley is the heart of the island (and I don't mean that in the way Locke said he has seen the heart of the island). He is the happieness glue that holds the group together. I can easily say he is my favorite character. "Numbers" is the only episode I can watch all the way through everytime, and many times over. Normally when I rewatch an episode (besides watching the DVD's all of the way through) I skip a lot of the flashbacks, but numbers kicks my *** everytime. It is perfect in every way, writing, acting, directing. It's just pitch perfect. He had my favorite flashbacks in "Exodus" as well. When he makes Walt smile on the plane, it just makes me happy.
So I definately can't see anyone hating Hugo. Hugo for President. Viva la Hugo!

@ the Midnighter:

Not to forget the entire "I have to catch the damn plane in time for my mum's birthday" sequence. That was just totally hilarious and I could watch that one again and again (if I only had the time to do so!): The timing, the music in the back and the fact that the makers of the show where now throwing out hints regarding the "numbers" with a shovel (like the volleyball team wearing them on their jerseys) was just prizeless. :)

OK.

I had a look again at the "Everybody loves Hugo" wall I created and linked on page one and I just would like to know: Is it really SO HARD to try and find something decent to write on that wall or if you cannot come up with something to decide NOT TO WRITE ANYTHING AT ALL? The one person in question knows what I am talking about and all I can say is: Go *** yourself, idiot. You are probably some pimpled teenage male virgin who thinks this is awfully funny. Well, it is not, it is childish.

I deleted the link since obviously some people are not grown up enough to use it in the way it was intended. This sucks.

Its amazing to me that the character was originally suppose to be completely different because I can't imagine not having Hurley on the show as the big funny guy that he is. He doesn't even need a lot of lines to make you laugh. One good Dude, or his interaction with Artz or Charlie and I'm cracking up. He doesn't even make the show or scene any less serious. Jack is my favorite character, Kate is sexy as hell, but Hugo is the MAN.

I personally LOVE Hugo. I was thinking that maybe they put him in charge of rationing the food they found and everybody hates him because they are soooo hungry they want to eat alot right away and he won't let them.

@ John Locke:

Ah yes, those were the behind the screens shots of Hurley's backstory when he worked at the diners, I think (you know, the diner, that he said was crushed by a meteor).

Am I the only one who wants Hurley to wear one of those silly fast food chain heads (shaped like a burger or something?

I am really sorry for having to take down the Hugo wall, guys. At first there were some lovely messages there. But as usual someone always feels it is fun to spoil a thing like that and wrote something very rude and pornographic on the wall. Now, I have no way of deleting messages on the wall and I know minors are reading here as well, so I thought it best to take the wall down. Sorry... :ohwell:
