There is a new discussion that people have been debating since last week, so I have elected myself to ask the question.

I'm not if this is the case, but IIRC, didn't Danielle scare the survivors by convincing them that "the Others" were coming for "all of them"? Wasn't that what set Jack and co. off to find a way into the Hatch and hide everyone?

I thought they only discovered that Danielle had heard the whispers claim they were coming fior "the boy" when she was confornted by Sayid and Charlie at the very end of Exodus II--long after Sawyer, Michael and Jin had set sail.

If that's the case, then how did Sawyer know Danielle said the Others were coming for "the boy" as he explained to Michael in last night's epiosde?

I know TPTB were eager to clear up any confusion as to who the pirates were, but doesn't that seem like a major cheat?

So, the question is, was there a goof? How did Sawyer know that Danielle said that the Others were coming for the boy? Was this a continuity error?

Actually, no this wasn't a goof.

Rousseau came to the beach camp and warned everyone of the whispers and that the Others were coming at the beginning of "Exodus Part 1." Sawyer, Micheal and Jin were there and heard what Rousseau said. This was before they launched the raft and what prompted Jack to get everyone involved to help get the raft down to the water.
