At the begnning of LOST we were told that everything that happens could be based on reality. Is that still true or have JJ and Damon decided to change that? It just seems too weird to be possible in real life...

Hi Kat,

I think you already know this, but JJ doesn't have anything to do with the show. Don't get me wrong, the man is a genius and LOST could never have even been on the air without him and he truly deserved both the Emmy he won for directing the pilot as well as the nomination for co-writing it. But he has been very busy with his other projects, most notably directing Mission Impossible 3. Ever since LOST has been on the air, it's been all Damon (and Carlton and Burky and Jack).

So, to answer your question...YES! As strange as some of it may seem (and some of it even seems strange to us) everything you see could actually occur in the real world. Now, the scenario that would have to take place in order for these things to happen? Well, that's a different story...

Have I mentioned that all of our FANS are geniuses? They kind of have to be, don't you think...

Me, a genius? Well...There certainly are a lot of awesome theories and tons of speculation out there. That makes this show so much fun. I suppose you have to be smart to watch and really grasp what's going on. It makes you think, that's for sure!

I once asked Terry O'Quinn if the cast disucsses what they think is going on and he said they did at first but now realize it's pointless! Heh! Kinda makes this board obsolete, don't you think? ;)

So, tell me, what is the role of a writers assistant? Which eps have you worked or are you working on?
