As far as my direct contributions to episodes 201 and 202? The stuff with the gun in the water while on the raft was borne of my research. I have a good friend who is a secret service agent, so I go to him for all the spy/government/guns on planes/guns in general stuff. He talked me though how a gun would be affected if it were completely submerged in sea water. Pretty cool stuff actually...

I was impressed by that bit (and the episode as a whole.)

It does make me think Sawyer has to have another flashback where it turns out he's a gun salseman or something, because him knowing it - while cool - was kinda jarring.

But still, a neat bit of knowledge.

That's what I like about the show... you put in this little bit of knowledge for a character, and we (the fanbase) go up in arms over symbolism, not realising that sometimes 'it's not meant to be laterally thought about.'
