Of course the previews said someone would be 'lost forever.' but there's still the possibilty that Cindy is really the one who died this episode. And Shannon will survive. However, I doubt that.

Her backstory has been finished, Michael is back to take care of the dog, the relationsihp with Sayid has been consumated and now that he's seen Walt and that whole story has some credibility, basically she doesn't have a real purpose to the story.

Plus she hasn't been sleeping lately and always has seemed a little fragile. It seems unlikely she'd be able to survive a gunshot wound even in an extremity much less her chest.

i thought the same thing about shannon when i saw the preview for the fog. it's sad if she's really dead. as far as boone is concerned, i believe he mentioned he was looking into some projects soon after he was killed off. i don't think he was fired.

i refuse to believe Shannon is dead unless it is official, like Boone's death. I just don't see why she has to be killed off. There is still so much more we need to learn about her. Who did she marry? How did she become manipulative? Does the fact she was moving into an internship at a dance stuido in New York fit in with Michael living in a studio apartment? They can't kill of Shannon, and i won't believe it til its final

On USA Today there is an article saying that Maggie Grace is off the show and how professional she was about the whole thing. They said it was decided last spring. Even though I know this, I still want to believe she is not dead. What are the writers thinking?

I hate to see Shannon go but it does open up some good plot possibilities.How will the Lostaways be able to merge with the tailenders if they think one of them is a killer. How will Sayid and Ana ever get along etc..

It has been in the rumor mills that Shannon was off the show for a while now. Anyone who keeps up with the show unfortunately saw this coming. If she's not dead yet, I think its a pretty good bet she will die from her injuries in the next couple episodes. Don't like it myself. I would rather have seen Sawyer die. He has been such a prick recently that I wouldn't have minded seeing him eat it though he used to be one of my favs...
