SInce we have no real sense of a timeline, is it possible that Shannons Dad was the other patient in the ER when his future wife was brought in? I didn't see another post about this so I wanted to ask.
It's too bad Shannon died cause I could see her finding out Jack "chose" not to save her dad and have a whole thing about that going on.

Yes when he was in the emergency room. Rutherford is her last name and they announced Mr. Rutherford was brought in from the car crash and he dies at 8:15.....

Yes it is Jacks old patient....Mr Rutherford was the man that he let die when he saved his future wife....There was no way he could save both of them...

Hi,
I wrote this up on my blog...http://www.bloglines.com/blog/mlynum under "A Man of Science, Man of Faith".
In the episode "Man of Science, Man of Faith" when Sara (Jack's soon to be wife), is brought into the ER because of a car accident, another man named "Adam Rutherford" is wheeled in after her. Jack is forced to make a choice of who to save and Adam dies. Shannon's last name is Rutherford so I believe the man Jack decided not to save was Shannon's dad.

Plus, we saw Jack walk down the hall when the other doctor was letting Shannon and the step-mom know about the death.

Sorry guys...I guess that what I get for only finding this board recently and taking 2 days just to read up on the season 2 episodes....LOL I guess I should have known that before then.
