At least now we know where Goodwin came from and who killed him

Well, not necessarily. What if Goodwin was an infultrator (sp?) like Ethan was?

They seemed upset Goodwin was dead...if he were Ethan-like I doubt they'd be so upset.

He's just one of the tail-enders. You're not gonna find out how all 12 got kidnapped and where they were from and who they were. That's too many.

No way. they seemed to be upset like they lost a friend. By the way, did he die by stake through the heart??

Yeah I think that was him.

I got the idea from the phrase "what they did to Goodwin" that perhaps Goodwin was a woman and was raped. Ana seemed to be warning her of something worse than getting killed.

We saw Goodwin impaled on a stick in the last episode.

My question was- why didn't they bury the poor guy?

Probably too scared and on the run to bother burying him.

So most of the tailsection survivors have been "taken".

Sawyer got shot on the raft abduction.

Goodwin looks to have been killed very brutally by that whole stick in the heart.

Ethan presumably hung Charlie from that tree stick thing.

The Others have been pretty gruesome so far. Eko was right in saying that Michael has no idea what these people are capible of.

The Others are pretty scary.

Cindy vanished without a sound or trace from the middle of a group of 7 people. Would you wander into the middle of a jungle to bury a corpse when there are hostile people who can do stuff like that?

If I´m not mistaken the pole was on the right side of the body, and the heart is on the left side. Doesn´t make much difference since the guy is dead anyway, but ....... :ohwell:

That phrase was interesting to me too... "what they did to Goodwin" - I wonder if he tried to push the Others in some way... either by going after them, "trespassing", or trying to get the missing people back or something - and the stick-through-the-chest thing was in retaliation.

I can't remember the scene exactly... but that was my impression. Sort of like "remember he tried to push them and look what happened" type of thing.

Edit: spelling

I was thinking that maybe "What they did to Goodwin" was play with his mind. Kind of like what was happening with Shannon. Maybe they made him see things or tricked him into killing one of the tailies.

Ana said, "they're smart", refering to The Others. What if they started to pit the Tailies against one another, until they came to their senses? Poor Goodwin could have been manipulated into doing something horrible.

When I heard the "what they did to Goodwin" and remebered how his body was laid out, it made me think of fox hunting (not with the dogs, horses, etc. but the more gruesome way with a rabbit).

You tie a rabbit to a tree and wait nearby. The rabbit will start to scream and the fox will hear its cries and assume an injured rabbit is out there and try to find it as an easy meal.

If the others wanted to get the taillies into the jungle, they could have implaed Goodwin on a stake and just sit back and let him scream for help. The tallies would be forced to either listen to his cries until he finally dies a slow death, or go into the jungle and try and help him.

Poor Goodwin, somehow i'm sure i'm gonna love his character and then we will see his tragic demise.
