Ah yes... the world's oldest cliche, sex = death. If two characters have sex, one of them will die sooner or later. I was so hoping that "Lost" would break the mold. But no... :frown:

As soon as Shannon and Sayid hooked up, I KNEW that she was toast.

i agree!! even though he didnt die, when sayid said, "i'll be right back," after they hooked up, immediately you knew the two of them were in peril. it was straight out of "scream." that was one of two or three times i laughed out loud during this otherwise very serious episode.

i was expecting it to be Sayid. As soon as he said "I'll be right back" I said "No, he won't"

Sex and an admission of love from Sayid I think all that was just done to heighten his despair at her death. He is so gonna get some revenge or fall in love with Ana:rolleyes:

Haha ... i was thinking the same thing. I was like anybody knows the virgin always survives, don't sleep with him.
But I guess they had to do that to make Sayid suffering afterwards more heartbreaking!

Even the best relationships end in tragedy.

If Rose and Bernard reunite, spend 20 more years together, eventually one will die of old age, causing a tragedy/
