So, did anyone catch the comment Ana Lucia made to Eko, something to the effect of "I liked you better when you didn't speak". Wonder what's up with that?

I noticed it too Dirt...wondering if maybe Ecko is similar to Locke. Could Ecko have been mute for a period of time until he got on the island, just as Locke regained the use of his legs? I'm probably off base, but that comment definitely had a meaning. Guess we'll find out next week.

I totally agree, I think Ecko was mute before he arrived on the island, and has experienced a miracle healing just like Locke has.

I remember someone posted a theory that he was blind before arriving (which was an awesome theory), but now it definetely looks like he was unable to speak! That line really seems to have hinted at that anyway...

I'm thinking it was more that Ecko never really said anything before the lostaways joined the tailaways, and once that happend he started to come out more. He was the one who spoke up and came to Michaels aid and went after him. And he was the one who did the same suggesting the way thru the forest. And once the redshirt dissapeared Anna put it all on him.

He could be. That is strange but she could of just meant he was shy, or something.
