I'm pretty bummed that both Shannon and Boone are dead. I think this episode showed how dynamic their characters were. The other main characters were flashier, but S&B were subtle. I loved how dramatically their characters changed over the short time they were both on the show. Very well written and acted. I thought tonight was a tour de force for Maggie Grace. Very impressive. I'm going to miss Shannon.

I'm going to miss her so much, too. Two of my favorite characters are gone now. :( This is depressing. Maggie did a fantastic job.

My heart just broke tonight for Shannon....it seemed just when she was in a position to finally overcome her past, it was snatched away from her just like her dream intership in New York. Made me realize too just all of the subtle changes from one extreme to the other and back again that she had made. I'll miss knowing more about her now.

I also found myself upset that they killed off Shannon, but did you notice she didn't tell Sayid she loved him back? I thought that was kinda crappy.

I never liked the character myself, so self centred, self absorbed and totally selfish.

I think her character had become pretty stagnant actually, particularly after Boone's death. She was the obvious choice to kill off.

You call seeing Walt stagnant? Sun hasn't been seen much....do you think she should be killed off? I think that all of these characters can go so much further and develop more. There should be no obvious choice.

I so totally agree with you. The writers could have had some great developments
for Shannon; watching her become strong and mature and totally turn around her
belief system. Even Locke would have been impressed and proud of her. Too
bad for that loss of insight for this character....unless, of course, Maggie needed
to leave the series for better opps. If so, then I do wish her great success!

I think that the Shannon and Boone's backstory should have been given more airtime. As it is I will never know what led Shannon to get married, how she wound up in Australia and why Boone was there too. Too bad.
