Is it just me? I swear that after Libby told Sawyer that he would be fine, and they should move on, she gave this evil look to him. Like a "I hope you die" look. She didn't seem to recognize him from the plane when they were captured.

I don't remember -- were Libby and Sawyer seated near one another on the plane? Libby's look didn't look evil to me, more like a doctor sugar-coating the truth. I think she expected Sawyer to die because the Tailies have had a rough time. I don't think anyone's mentioned to the Tailies there's a doctor in the Lostaways group so she has no reason to think he'll get better. (And there's no guarantee Jack will be able to fix him but I'm sure he'll try.)

Was Libby there when they emerged from the trees after Shannon? I don't think I saw her.

I don't think it was a "hope you die" look, but more of a "you are going to be okay - NOT" look.

It was very obvious she knew that Sawyer's arm was very bad and she basically lied to him to make him feel better. But Sawyer knew his arm was bad. I don't think he bought her story.

I noticed it as a murderous evil look... It was creepy.

i remember that look from sawyer to jack when he thought he may have a brain tumor, after he makes a joke he gets serious and says....its serious right...i feel like gettinlost post 4 is right about the libby diagnosis, and maybe she thought if she could get sawyer up and moving, that is one step farther away from "them", and she and the other tailies must have seem to want to avoid them at all cost...

Libby's a clinical psychologist. She's accustomed to telling people, "Of course you're not crazy," and such things. The look she had was one of concern for Sawyer, and concern that she may have been lying about the severity of the wound.

I agree, Libby was just trying to psyche Sawyer out, with her lines "it's bad, but it's not real bad, your gonna be fine" She knows it's real bad but she is trying to keep Sawyer positive and moving. The look was so that the viewer would know that she "really" thinks that Sawyers wound is real bad or that she thinks he might not make it. Thats my take on the scene.

I don't think it was an evil look, just a "you' ve got that funky disease and will soon become an Other" kinda look.

It wasn't an evil look. She told Sawyer that he'd be fine in an attempt to make the guy feel better. If it wasn't clear to everyone in the group that his arm was about to fall off, and she did that anyway, THEN you'd have a point. But, its pretty obvious that Sawyer is in it pretty deep. Besides, at this point the only person that hasn't been friendly towards our original Castaways has been Ana. The rest (Eko, Bernard, Libby) have all been nice and friendly at pretty much every turn.

Anyone think Sawyer might have to lose an arm? :) Become like the Dr. in the Orientation video? :)

First time posting!!! I didn't feel like it was an evil look. It seemed like she was trying to make Sawyer feel better, but she knew that he was really bad off.

I dont think that sawyer will lose his arm. If jack was going to be hacking off body parts, he would have started w/ boones leg.

Now, you can't say that she didn't seem to enjoy setting that leg. At least a little. Even AL seemed a little shocked.
