Has anyone else noticed that it is the men on the island that seem to have the connection to Aaron and not the women? (other than Claire of course)
There is Charlie of course and the sound of Sawyer's voice, but I first noticed it with Jin.
When he was offering Claire fish, she first felt the baby move after the crash (and made Jin feel her stomach), then he was there when she gave birth and he sweetly stroked Aaron on the head to say goodbye before leaving on the raft. Even Hurley - he took care of Claire right after the crash, there was his James Brown imitation and a couple of other times he has helped care for Aaron.
Now there is Locke.
But I can't recall a single scene where the women are involved with Aaron.
Just seems odd.

pretty astute observation, newfgirl. even though his father abandoned hime, it seems aaron has plenty of subsitute dads/(or grand-dads, as i found myself thinking tonight when locke was holding him...)

:biggrin: I forgot about that - I guess that is a pretty big one...
However- I will say that Kate (and Sun & Shannon) seem to have their bond with Claire rather than with Aaron.

not to mention the wise, maternal Rose... nowhere to be found yet the clothesline was right next to where Claire was camped out. You'd think she'd be the perfect grandmotherly type, doting on Aaron as grandmothers are wont to do... hmmmm....

Two things I noticed with the scenes with Aaron last night.
1. Claire said he was finally asleep and handed him to Locke...his eyes were wide open!
2. Locke taught Claire to swaddle Aaron, but when he's holding him next to Charlie, Aaron's
foot is hanging out. Not a very good swaddle job!
