Well Shannon is dead!!!! And thanks to Ana Lucia for doing the honor.

Ana Lucia will soon become the dominant character on the show. All of us will love her -- except of course, the bashers, and the chauvanists who are paranoid of a strong woman.

I hope Sayid or Sawyer goes after Ana, and (like Sawyer already learned) gets a thorough beating and a bullet in their shoulder.

I think Shannon and Ana Lucia are very similiar in how they were introduced both in a negative fashion, but Ana has been brutal. I like strong women ,not violent women.
Ana will never be a beloved character by the majority, as Shannon was never gonna be beloved, because it is hard to shake the first impression of a character.
I did like Shannon she was one of my faves and Sawyer is my absolute favorite, but I can understand that people hate them.I guess sometimes it just goes to preference, some people prefer Boo Berry to Count Chocula :wink3:

I think AL is acting in the only way she knows how...just as Shannon did. AL has her demons, and she is in mega combat mode because of her initial experience on the island. I find her a bit one-dimentional now, but I'm sure that will change. Look at how far Sawyer has come!

If you think about it...there aren't too many on that island that are really warm and cuddly. I dunno if I would be either after my plane falling out of the sky.

Shannon....I feel for her, but I wasn't tied up in her character. We really didn't know much about her other than the Boone thing. No emotional ties for me.

Squee! I can't wait to see the tail-enders story next week.

A-L is the guys' Sawyer. Sawyer was a real jerk, still is, but girls LOVED him despite his mistakes and his "i could do better" attitude. Ana is almos tthe exact same archetype, and just like sawyer everyone will come to love her once her flashbacks hit (i predict).

all the sawyer love in season 1, pre-flashbacks, kinda got on my nerves...but i'm starting to understand it more...

Taking the circumstances and ingrained fear and post-traumatic stress the lostaways and the tailaways have, it's not suprizing at all that Ana Lucia fired a Shannon--who was running and screaming like a maniac after a ghostly figure (Walt).

Two lose ends met up last night. What happens when they're joined together by heat, friction, blood, sweat and tears?

Shannon wasn't a favorite character on the show, but she was no Sawyer or Jin when it came to people disliking her. She even earned a few plus points after the Boone incident. I don't think they'll take too kindly to Ana when they find out what happened, whether it was an accident or not.

i used to hate shannon, but i must say i am very upset that she died. i actually felt sorry for her after seeing her back-story. plus, she was the main connection we had to boone...and now they are both gone! it's just wrong.

as for ana lucia...i still don't like her. i know she shot shannon because she thought she was an other...but still, i just don't get a good vibe from her. i mean really, she was going to leav sawyer to die! how cruel!
