I don't think it's been on just yet...I have the TV on and I just heard "coming up...." I'll post once I've seen it.

I just watched it. It was a flashback scene between shannon and her step mom. It was after the funeral and they were sorting food that people gave them. One was beef stroganoff which the stepmom thought was stupid, but Shannon said it was dad's favorite. Then they both agreed that they loved the dad and said that's the one thing they have in common. But, then the stepmom asked when Shannon was moving out.

It was another Shannon flashback...her stepmother is cleaning up after the wake and asks, "Who brings beef stroganoff to a wake?" Shannon wanders in and asks if she can help. She'd told to take or toss whatever she wants. Picking up the beef, she remarks, "Dad loved beef stroganoff." Her stepmother chuckles and says, "Well, he won't be eathing any of it tonight, will he?" Shannon looks at her, offended and traumatized. Apologizing, her stepmother walks to the sink and says, "You know, I really did love him." "So do I," Shannon replies. Looking over at Shannon, she says, "Guess that's one thing we'll always have in common." Shannon says, "Yeah," and looks down. Then her stepmother says something about "So when are you leaving?" and then...scene.

I like the attention to detail with the Lost writers, man.... The way that people word things shows very much what is in their hearts. Most people that really care for someone that has died still normally refer to them in the present tense for some time after the death has occured. I just find it amusing that the step-mom there uses the word DID when she says that she loved Shannon's dad, where as Shannon used the phrase "so DO I."

Further solidifies the fact that Boone's mom is a b*tch and that she probably only cares about herself.

That's the very reason I didn't watch GMA, because there was no secret scene as advertised. Just a hype to get you to watch GMA. And, they probably made you wait forever to see that scene. Sorry, I don't like it when shows like that pull that thinking only of their ratings. I remember that scene very well and it was the whole point of the name of the epy "Abandoned". Personally I stick with the show LOST itself and these boards. There is plenty of mystery and resolution here. That's my thoughts on it. There was no secret scene. "I did love your father", "I do" just means wicked stepmother had what she wanted now and Shannon still loves her father.
