I have been convinced by the other threads on the topic that Ana-Lucia did not shoot Shannon. The editors have left us with that impression... So my theory runs like this:


Ana Lucia shot Cindy.
Danielle stabbed Shannon.
Sayid is going to kill Danielle.

That is a theory, I think most of what gets posted are theories. But now I am thinking that
it could be .......either Jack or Locke stabbed Shannon since they are both left handed. Again, this is just one of my theories and something going on in my head for now. :)

I don't think Ana shot shannon either. The spoilers said that

someone would take the blame until the person that killed her comes forward. So I guess Ana takes the blame. I don't know who really killed her though.

I am still thinking that one through and probably will be all morning. This is one of the best things about the show. Theorizing. I love it.

Erm. You guys that shot of the "gun" in the left hand isn't a gun at all. Rewatch it, honestly, it's Ana-Lucia's backpack strap.

My theory is that Danielle stabbed Shannon, and Ana-Lucia was trying to protect Shannon by shooting Danielle. (Well, actually I got a little help with that theory from a spoiler...:biggrin:)

There is no backpack connected to the "strap" that I can see, and second of all, about 0.5 seconds before it shows that shot, Ana is lowering her gun with both arms. She lowers the gun off the screen and then it shows that shot. Did she grab her backpack for some unknown reason?

That appears to be something long. A rifle, a stick, a machete, who knows. The arm does look like Ana's (someone said Eko, but Eko has a yellow shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows, whereas this arm has no sleeve at all), but I have no idea what shes holding. You can see the long "stick" item in about 3-4 frames of that animation above.

It's not a gun in the shot from the back of the killer agreed. It's also not a coincidence that the only shot with the killer and Shannon in it is from the killers back, shrouded in darkness. Nor is Ana not being in a shot with Shannon and Sayid coincidence either, IMO. Misdirection.
