We were told that other passengers on the plane also survived and that we would get to know them and sort of "start over," as I remember it.

If so, there could be a whole group of episodes (or the rest of the year, for that matter) with ALL NEW CAST members OR flip back and forth according to actors' other projects which are on-going. The writers and producers have created a fine master plan here.

Is it our assumption or was it said in this episode that the two groups would meet? No reason for them to have to meet if writers want to allow us to get to know them as individuals within a separate group before they are shown in relationship to the characters we already know.

Very interesting possibilities either way!

The next episode is specifically about "The Other 48 Days", so it explains all that happened with the Tail-enders. But the following week, the two groups are set to meet up "Violence breaks out when Ana-Lucia's group meets up with the original Lostaways" or something along those lines. So no, there won't be much flipping...
