So as far as I know (I'm not a zoologist or Ornathologist) but how did the chicken get on the island? I assume that it was brought by DHARMA or the Black Rock (many many chicken grandparents ago).

I was wondering about the chicken, too. But I just assume that it came from DHARMA. With all the animals on that island, they could start a zoo! :smile:

It didn't look like a chicken to me, but some other form of foul that might be native to the island. Maybe Darma is responsible, though.

It looked like chicken, and Libby referred to it as 'chicken,' but maybe it was some kind of island.. grouse..? I don't think it was a chicken though. But it reminded me of the much-parodied chicken chase from Rocky II.

roosters and chickens are very common on the hawaiian islands, how they got on THIS island I don't know.

haha but seriously yea i figure the chicken was part of some dharma initiative, was there any agriculture or farming of any sorts as a project?? well, at any rate it at least fits with the 'zoology' stuff...

mabye it lays eggs with the dharma logo on them :P

or... maybe early colonists way back when let the animals loose there to breed and multiply for future visits... i remember hearing things on that in history class, where the animals kinda ruin the natural swing of things but hey, nothin beats a good ham sandwich or chicken wing right??
