View Full Version : Others love khakis
Breasmith 11-17-2005, 12:15 AM Ok, so it may be insignificant. Did you notice how all the Others - Goodwin included - wore khaki like clothing?? Goodwin has shoes, but he was wearing khakis.
Made me think of LOCKE. who always wears khakis. and who smirks just like goodwin. and seems interested in people's growth just like goodwin.
MAYBE the only reaon locke cares so much about people's growth is because he's waiting for them to 'be GOOD'??
hehe that just went far huh?

LockeLove 11-17-2005, 12:30 AM What song should they dance to?
Monkey 11-17-2005, 12:32 AM Hmmmmm...People Are Strange?
echodelians 11-17-2005, 12:33 AM Anyone this there is anything to the "their clothes dont have tags", as stated by AL? Any significance? Connection to the army knife, do they make thier clothes without tags?
I think there has to be a reason she said this. :undecide:
ForeverLost19 11-17-2005, 12:54 AM I'm pretty sure they would have been wearing home-spun cotton.
You know... they make their own clothes out of cotton made from hemp possibly.

It means they shop at exclusive designer boutiques where they don't use tags.
Just kidding. I think it means they must have made the clothes themselves somehow.

ooh interesting. that is a good point. and most military groups dont
use the tags b/c that makes them more visible. so yeah, that would
make sense b/c the Others are known for being able to disappear.
Mikecito 11-19-2005, 01:10 AM One thing that jumped out at me, was how plain Libby's dress looks when compared to the other Tailies clothes. I wonder if she shops at the Others Store.

this is exactly what i thought. there was something about her, and then it hit me that there was something wrong with her clothes
Dagirlindajeans 11-19-2005, 01:56 AM oh I'm a firm believe that she shops at the Others Store. Despite it being plain and khaki, look at how worn it is. It's faded and a bit tattered. Definately from The Others Store.

That's what I was gonna say! hehehee
diabolo237 11-20-2005, 12:09 AM Damn preppies! They finally found their place in the world!
terriblylost 11-20-2005, 12:29 AM One thing with the bland and khaki colors. I remember seeing, I think on the season 1 dvds, that the creators purposely have people wear muted colors to make the blood stand out more. That way they didn't have to have as much blood to make a statement. So you won't see many, if any, of the characters wearing a red shirt for instance.
I do agree though that the lack of tags on the others' clothes might be an important clue such as maybe they make their own clothes (or shop at the others store  )
margie0123 11-20-2005, 01:06 AM Did Ethan wear khaki??:undecide:
