I just find myself wondering about the parallel between you, as an actor, and the character you play - at least, in terms of language. After all, 'Jin' would have the frustration of not being able to understand what people around him are saying - while you, as they actor portraying him, must 'pretend' not to understand thing that, in fact, you do? I would imagine this is increasingly difficult should the other charcters in the scene happen to have amusing lines...
Either way, I'm thuroughly impressed. I don't think many people realize how much harder it is to 'fake' NOT understanding a language than it is to learn to 'fake' speaking one, at least phonetically. (As many actors do, I'm given to understand.)
How do you handle it, as an actor?
