Hi Daniel!
I just watched the special features on the DVDs, and wow, how neat to see how everything works.
I do have a few questions, though. It would be interesting to know more about how the Korean segments of the show are done. On the blooper reel, there was one part where you stuck your head in the door and said something in Korean, and made a mistake and had to do it again. Of course I would never know the mistake you made, but obviously some one would... Who writes your lines? I saw that the producers don't speak Korean, but of course they would be concerned that the lines and cultural references, clothing, interior decoration etc are accurate, believable to the audience that speaks the language and knows the culture. What is the process for all of this?
You also mentioned at one point in the special features that you speak the language through your parents, but needed to bone up to be believable for the show. What kinds of things did you do to prepare for the role? Are there any difficulties you have experienced in relation to the Korean lines?
Is there anything you wish had been done differently in relation to the Korean culture content?
I really liked the Korean segments of the show...felt that I was learning something. I certainly knew nothing about Korean culture/ways of life, and even the very small exposure given to me by the show intrigues me. Excellent work!
