When she was lamenting to Jack in the woods right before the kiss, she was saying how she wasn't as good as he was blah blah blah . . . and then I'm pretty sure she mentioned the "good" thing again later(maybe with Sawyer or her real dad? Can't remember) and was wondering if now that she's dealt with her past, maybe she'll be considered "good" by the Others?

She certainly seemed to come to terms with whatever "ghost" she's been haunted by, and yeah, I would guess there was some kind of apology/explaination/forgiveness in all that symbolic stuff that went down. She was talking to Sawyer, but adress "Wayne" her real daddy. That she blew up. Because she thought he was just a sicko beating her mom. But he wasn't.

Kate still has plenty of guilt to deal with. All she did tonight was take a step towards a new life on the island, i.e. forgetting the men/daddies of her past life.

No, I think Kate has more to resolve before she can be considered morally good. Also, I think its likely that Goodwin was referring to a completely different meaning -- aside from moral goodness -- with that particular comment.

i think they probably were, but i think kate still has a lot to deal with before she is "good". there's the guy (can't remember his name) who helped her rob the bank for the airplane, thomas, her mother, etc. i think these are all still ghosts she needs to reconcile.
