I probably am still crazy, though.

I re-watched that scene in its entirety...from right after Eko asked to watch the film, all the way through Kate walking away from Jack after the big kiss.

I didn't see anyone else, although Kate was looking to the right while sitting on the log...so maybe she had seen someone/something (probably the horse) before Jack walked down to her, and maybe it was the same person/thing that she saw after kissing Jack and that made her leave so quickly. No craziness there! ;)

I can see that my fight against the act of smashing two names together to name a pairing is thus far in vain. Alas, I will continue until I am victorious.

People, this practice is just stupid. About 95% of the time, you wind up with some sort of non-word that sounds at best like a random bunch of syllables pulled from out of thin air. I don't see why there should be any reason to name a pairing- why not just call them Eko/Locke? It's short, it's snappy, and you know what you're getting. If you must name them, well, the least you could do is be creative. "Light and Dark" or "Island Mystics" or even "Knife and Stick"- anything would be better than "Lekos" or "Elocke" or whatever meaningless sound is created from this chaos. At least put a little creativity into it.


Edit: What is the other possiblitly is there? Maybe it's just that I'm tired, but I don't get it.
