This is going a bit far back chronologically, but hey, I'm new here. :D

In "The Moth", with the aid of hi-res pictures and a lot of determination, I was able to figure out that Charlie's bass was made by Fernandes. They're not a big name or anything; I was quite surprised not to see something more common, like maybe a Fender. So I was curious - why a Fernandes? How'd that hookup get hooked up?
