Hey Raggs,
If you don't mind me asking, what does a writer's assistant do? I'm looking to get into production and was wondering if it was similar to a production assistant's job?
Thanks

Hey DarkBear. Being a writers' assistant is nothing like being a producion assistant on the set. Except, that is, for the long hours and very, very poor pay. If you want to get into production, though, it's a very smart place to start. If, however you are trying to be a writer, a job as a writers' assistant is the way to go.
Sadly, BOTH positions are very hard to come by, but there are many more chances for a production assistant job than there are in the writers office.
Either way. Very best wishes to you.

Thanks for replying. It really is appreciated.
I understand long hours for poor pay - I'm a secretary!;)

Then you know exactly what I mean, don't you?
Happy to be of service.
All the best,
