Gregg,

i just finished reading your "what a script coordinator does" post, and i can't blame your mom for repeatedly asking what it is that you do hehe... out of curiosity, can you remember the first time you were reading through one of the scripts, and had a "WHOA!" moment... this show is full of them of course, but do you remember the first one? do you recall what scene it was? keep up the good work!

I’m going to answer two posts at the same time, and I hope I’m not breaking forum etiquette by doing so.

The snarky answer is realizing that some very smart writers don’t know how to spell (or perhaps don’t know how to use the spell check), or that they spell “a lot” and “all right” as one word (pet peeves of mine). But that’s not really answering your questions.

I generally know the plot points coming up, so most of the times I’m not shocked or surprised. There are things I think are really cool or that I think are great character moments. But I have to admit, even knowing it was coming up, that Walt being abducted still shocked me. “We’re gonna have to take the boy.” How can you not be stopped in your tracks at that? Simply amazing. I think Damon has even said that his wife still hasn’t forgiven him for that.

In the second season it’s something that’s coming up, so I can’t say anything about it. I think it’s so cool and such great concept; I can’t wait to see how it plays. But for something that has aired, I love the Eko episode, “The 23rd Psalm.” The script was amazing from day one, and the episode itself is fantastic. I love the flashback story and the island story; the smoke monster moment thrown in is like icing on the cake.

Thanks for the interest, and keep watching. I enjoy reading the posts about what people think of the episodes.
