Hi Gregg,
I didn't realize you had posted so many respones... and then I saw that you had posted a long explanation of your job. Boy, am I glad I read it! Very cool!
First off, thank you so much for all the work you do for Lost, and for coming to the Fuse! The fans appreciate it so much.
Okay, just wanted let you know that in a previous thread, you mentioned that you found it strange the episode script writers aren't listed on the ABC site. Yeah, it *is* weird! That is something that was brought up with the Mods here at the Fuse, and recently they started listing who wrote and directed, etc. each episode. If you go to the forum about any episode, you'll see that at the top there is a little box with all of that information for that episode. I thought this was a great thing for the Mods to instate, since this message board is the official site of the creative team.
Okay, question #1: In your explanation of your job, you mentioned several times a "showrunner." Is that lingo for "big boss", a.k.a Damon or Carlton or JJ...? Or is that some other specific position? I'm very curious!
Question #2: This is in reference to the Apollo Bars question. I am not asking you to divulge the secret of why "Apollo" was chosen. But you mentioned that the reason Apollo had to be chosen was because none of the candy bar companies wanted to be associated with the Hatch. But doesn't Boone try to give Shannon an Apollo bar during the Pilot episode? (She refuses him, of course). The screencaps are very hard to make out because his hand is covering most of the bar, but it really looks like an Apollo bar, and most fans assume it to be an Apollo bar.
Is our assumption wrong? Or is it an Apollo bar and someone had already contacted the candy bar companies way back then?
The odd additional mystery, of course, is: where the heck did Boone get an Apollo Bar?....
If you can help out with any of those questions, without divulging the meaning behind the choice of "Apollo," that would be great! :)
Thank you so much for your time, Gregg.
