I'm a sailor in the US Navy, currently stationed off the coast of Saudi Arabia, and as you can imagine, have a lot of time on my hands. I found the way to quell the boredom of deployment through writing many years ago, and as time approaches for me to leave the service of our country, I would love nothing more than to break into professional screenwriting. Do you have any tips as to how you made it. Is it truly who you know more than what you know? If that were the case, then Hi, I'm Rod! Kidding. I do have a good network of producer and director friends, but it figures that they work on reality television, documentary style shows, and music videos! So that takes me completely out of th loop. So I beg of you, share some knowledge as someone who made it.
