Dear Hurley (Jorge),

You have no idea how much you have impacted my son and how much "Lost" has had a positive affect on our family.

My youngest son Andy suffers from a seizure disorder caused by 3 blood clots in his brains at age 8 days old.

When you appear on screen he just cracks up. You don't have to say a thing. He cried right along with you when Libby died.

For Halloween last year he dressed up as you. He wore a blondish long "afro" wig. We wrote "the numbers" on his t-shirt. He wore a blue plaid shirt and carried a backpack. HE WAS A HIT!!!!!

One of Andy's shortcomings is his ability to react appropriately to social scenes and to process information. "Lost" has done great things for him. He is noticing clues regarding "the numbers" and spotting "character connections".

He has 2 notebook binders containing the "Lost" trading cards, a list he compiled about "the numbers", and he prints out the episode recaps from "ABC.com" which he reads (helping him with his reading and comprehension).

He was real bummed out today when we found out that we have to wait until October 3rd for the 2nd season to go on sale. Last year it came out in September so I got it for him for his birthday. We've watched it at least 4 times trying to pick up more clues. You really can't watch an episode just once to pick up on everything. Being the season is over in 2 days I'm we'll start watching it again. Can't go too long without a "Lost fix".

Could you please send Andy a picture of yourself ? He would flip !!!!

"Lost" has also become a saving grace for me and my other 2 sons. Having 3 teenage boys (13,15,17) it's like pulling teeth to get them to use more than one word in response to a question let alone carry on a real conversation !!! But "Lost" has changed that. We watch it together, have many lenghty conversations about possible theories, etc. Wednesday is the best day of the week.

Thanks for reading my ramblings. Hope you can send Andy a picture.

Oh, pinch Sawyer in the butt for me. I so old I refer to him as my "illagitimate love child". Over 50 life crisis !!
