Hey, Carlton!

I'm a big fan of Seinfeld and I consider him a big influence on my snarkiness. Having said that, a lot of the characters on Lost could give him a run for his money in terms of black humour. I'm a big fan of Charlie's jocosity in particular, though some minor characters have shined in season two in this area (Hurley's mother, Bernard)
I know Dom has a lot of input into his character and a helluva sense of humor. How much are the actors allowed or even encouraged to contribute with to their characters personality wise?
