In light of the last ~5 minutes of tonight's episode... I'm starting to think Jack will join Ben and the rest's "cause," whatever it may be. Maybe they'll (Lindelof & Co.) show what Ben tells Jack that convinces him to join.... or, they won't! It would be cooler if Jack joins the Others/Dharma and we don't know why. And he won't tell why.

Lindelof & Co. have had plenty of time to think up something good for the Others to fight for... and it better be GOOD!

So, for the next step in the show, do you think Jack'll join the Others?

I voted "Yes".

First, let me say that it would be one hell of a twist if Jack joined the Others without us (the viewers) knowing why! :eek2:

I can also see two other possible scenarios:

1. Jack agrees to join them as a means to find out more about them and what it is they are actually up to.

2. The Others reveal that they are in fact "the good guys", and this is why Jack chooses to join them.

No, but he may play along.

Um...how does "joining" up with the Others get Jack "home"?

I voted no...but I think he will "play along" until he sees an advantage.

Those are possible scenarios! And I hope this twist is in the plan...

No, but he may play along.

Yeah, that's the only way I could see Jack playing with them. If it in some way helped the other two escape.

Commitment is what makes Jack tick - we've seen that time and time again now. There is no way he's going to turn his back on his fellow survivors who he's known for 70 days for the creepy Others he's known for two and have caused the deaths of many. It would be completely out of character for Jack to turn on these people he has worked so hard to take care of for months now.

I don't think Jack will join the Others, at least not unless they absolutely guarantee him that Kate gets to go home as well. However, like some of you already said, it's likely that he will play along, to find out where she and Sawyer are.

I voted that he wouldn't join the others. First of all, Jack is crazy stubborn and he has a serious grudge against the others. Although he does have major flaws, in the back of his mind he does still want to be a good person.

I do, however, think that there are a few scenarios in which Jack would Change his mind. If the other's somehow do work hard enough and manage to convince Jack (with undeniable evidence) that they really are good guys, i think Jack could turn. I don't think he would make a turn unless he knew that his friends (especially Kate) would be alright or even better off. When Henry asked for the TV to be pulled in, I really thought he was going to show Jack footage of the Kate/Sawyer kiss, which would have been completely disheartening for him. I think that would have pushed him a little bit closer to the breaking point.

I voted no but I should've voted yes only because I think jack should join the others, go along with whatever they say and then double-cross them when the time is right.
