and then the whole scene where Ben was quoting Of Mice and Men...and talking about how Sawyer needs Kate. "I tell ya, a guy gets too lonely and he gets sick."

I really liked Benry's quotation from Of Mice and Men. It fit with the scene, of course, but was also yet another example of how far ahead of everyone else he really is.

I love Benry.

The "Since Eko exploded" line was pretty good too :smile:

TPTB hit the jackpot, finding and hiring Ian Cusick! (So says the "unbiased" Desmondite, STH! :D)

There just weren't many good lines. But then, it wasn't much of a good eppy, either, until about the last 10 minutes. (How the blazes can you blow a James-centric eppy? Geez!)

Loved the "I'm Scottish" line too. Ian is a fantastic actor, he plays that character so well.

I had forgotten about that, but I loved that one too. He was trying to get him, and had Pickett not gotten the call over the radio I think he would have.

I think he actually didn't mean to say that, if he had said "yes" then she would know it was her fault and he wanted her to think it wasn't her fault. We can see Juliet is crazy for Jack, she even managed to make him smile at times and made soup for him, all I can say is that she's a fertility doctor and Jack is going to fertilize her pretty soon :biggrin:

My fav. quote was the I'm scottish line from Desmond, constanza is a close second.

This episode was full of great quotes.. but I'll have to add..

And also all of the above posts.. everything's great!

For me, Kate saying "Live together, die alone" was the best because it had so many implications....her and Sawyer, the Losties in general, their past lives and so on and so on. Great episode with so many hidden meanings in MHO.

"Costanza" made me crack up so much that I had to hit the "back 5 seconds" button on my TIVO because I missed the next few lines of dialogue. It was perfect because Munson made a "hurt George" look that made George such a great character in Seinfeld. What would've made it perfect would've been if Munson started talking in the 3rd person for a few seconds, like "Munson getting frustrated and confused!!" :grin:

sawyer calling picket "chinatown" - great reference to the nose bandage jack nicholson has in the movie.

and yes ALL the other lines mentioned already - the dialogue in this episode was excellent.

Benry to the guy who held the needle to Sawyer's chest: "Through the sternum. Like in the mo..."

Like in the movies? Can't you see the others sitting around, munching popcorn, watching "Pulp Fiction"?

I loved when Hurley asked Des if his "creation" was art!! Of course Sawyer always has great things to say, but I thought Ben quoting "of mice and men" was pretty neat.

The scottish line was great, especially because that was EXACTLY what I was thinking a nanosecond before Desmond said it.

No one has mentioned one of my favourite lines: When Pickett told Sawyer to just give him a reason to go at him and Sawyer said, "I thought I just did. What do I got to do, talk about your mother?"

I also liked Des' "I'm Scottish" and Charlie's "I was building a church before Eko...exploded."

The line was Sawyer telling Ben "It's from Of Mice and Men - Dont you read? You'd like it - They kill puppies in it", referring to Ben killing the bunny.

I liked it when Desmond was telling Clare to move down the beach while he fixed the roof and Charlie came over and said:

'What are you doing, Brother?'

That made me laugh. :biggrin:

Pretty sure that he DID mean it. I don't really see that she is "crazy" for Jack. Just trying to find his weakness and get him to trust her.

All great choices... this episode had a lot of good dialogue. I would just add the line about the warden not getting his 10 million dollars...

The people I was watching the show with cracked up the most at the Charlie "Eko exploding' and 'another 'button to push' lines. The scene they laughed at the most was Sawyer pouring the water over his head.

I loved the "He's needs another button to push" line, but like everyone else has said there were several good ones.

I laughed so hard I started coughing when I read your post about Juliet being a fertility doctor and Jack is going to fertilize her. Dirty minded thing ! Hilarious!!!
But, I don't trust any interest she has in him for a minute.

This one had some good lines, but I really liked Ben's "You're good, Sawyer. But we're a lot better." I think that has more significance that we know yet.

Not too much of a 'quote', but when Ben is waking Sawyer up to go on the hike

Considering the beating he got by Ben the day before, it was quite the friendly wake-up- it just seemed comical to me ;)

I really liked Jack's line as he pulled off his gloves, "Time of death..." It was so real world, so where Jack is himself, back in complete control. He was Dr. Shepherd again for those moments with Dr. Juliet, his colleague. It was a great line and a great scene to show where Jack is Jack.

I also loved Jack "there is an xray of a 40 year old man with a tumour on his L4...............no coincidence I'm a spinal surgeon.....who am I here to save?"

Loved Sawyer "open an account int the name of Clementine.........they can never know who it's from" I think it's so revealing of his true character. So different from earlier in the show when he said "it's every man for himself freckles"

Sawyer & Kate " if you ever loved me save yourself " "I said I loved you so they would stop beating you"

Finally rewatched to get my fav line. Sawyer to Munson on finding out he got "tote bag" duty: "Get little mints on your pillow at night, too?"

I liked all the quotes and references to Of Mice and Men, because I'd just finished reading it in English, so I was very excited.

Just take everything Sawyer says and pick a quote... can't go wrong. I like the China Town reference myself.

The writers must have a blast creating his lines and Josh must really get a kick out of saying them...when they aren't so tongue twisting as to drive him nuts. The formerly known as Henry Gale line had to have been a bear to say, for instance. Kudos to Josh for pulling them off as smoothly as he does.

This one had some good lines, but I really liked Ben's "You're good, Sawyer. But we're a lot better." I think that has more significance that we know yet

Loved that bit, especially the way Ben mockingly said "Sawyer" after calling him James the whole time. And yes, Ben & Co. are really, really good at running cons, though they seem to be doing them for a purpose.

Loved Jack's scene with Juliet and the dead Colleen.

Everything said in the last 5 minutes or so of the episode. Of Mice and Men... "The only thing we put in you was doubt" "You pretend not to care about her" ....everything Ben says is fantastic. Ben at his best.

"Bet the bears didn't think of that" was a great line!

I enjoyed watching Sawyer deal with having to see Kate change and his wrist watch going off as he takes a glace at her.
