i didnt catch the probowl because i was volunteering at a loi which is where kalo is planted and we helped take care of some other hawaiian lands that needed to be tended to.

Do tell, that sounds interesting...How did you start to get involved in something like that?
Is it something that a group asked you to do or you did on your own and searched them out?

its part of a class i am taking called hawaiian studies.it teaches alot about the land and the people ....we have another day we will be taking care of some fish ponds and rebuilding walls.its a very good class it really makes me appreciate hawaii alot more.

wow, that sounds like you've got some great direction in your life....One of the salesman at work, he took a trip with his church and they helped build a school in Africa. He showed us pictures and the smiles on the people were just beautiful to see.....do you get any feedback at the time your helping or is it just a after the fact you know this is going to benefit the people?

we go into it knowing what we are doing for the land and the people and trying to restore their culture a little bit so its awesome to help them do that.

That's great. I know that feeling must be overwhelming at times. Nice you seem to be able to juggle this with your schedule. I'm sure everyone you have helped touch is very appreciative.
