This is my first time posting to this board, I read all relevant information about posting here, but I wasn't sure if this is the correct area to ask my question (I did a search and I don't think anyone has asked this before).* If I have done the wrong thing, I apologise in advance

I was curious about how the music gets selected for Lost and for TV shows in general.* Is it chosen by the writers, or is it an assigned task to one person (such as the score writer) or a combination of both.* When choosing the music, how is it sourced?

If someone could please respond (or at least point me to the right posting board) I would really appreciate it.
