Well, to put it simply in season one there were 42 or so survivors, right? Well excluding the tail survivors (who all are mostly dead) we have only people from the fuselage. Yet we have a fair amount of main characters, new red shirts appearing into new characters and still the same amount of red shirts in the background. If they are not careful, they will end up with more people than thay had originally! I mean, there are what, at least 20 or so main characters from the fuselage only, excluding desmond, (bernard is from the fuselage, he just went to the tail bathroom when it crashed) and anyone else from elsewhere. Now add on the countless background red shirts, its gotta make up a load, right?
