Hey, I know this question is probably answered elsewhere on this forum, but I'm a relative newbie to Lost (just got done watching season 2 on DVD) and I don't want to accidentally get spoiled. Does anybody know whether ABC is going to repeat the first 6 episodes during the 18 week (or whatever) break? Or do I have to wait for Season 3 DVDs before I can watch them in order?
cheers

Don't know how particular you are about watching the episodes, but I watched the first 3 episodes of Season 3 online because I am a newbie too and I didn't want to get spoiled. I got all caught up, and then watched them on the official ABC/Lost website.
Hope they're all still up there.

The only way to get caught up is online, the DVD, or if when they come back from the break if they do a recap show. There will be no repeats this season as the show Daybreak will be replacing Lost when it goes off the air for their break.

I'm disappointed there will be no repeats at all, even in different time slots. My Tivo just doesn't have enough room to save all 6 episodes for rewatching. I'll have to check ABC online when the time comes.

All the eps are also available on iTunes for $1.99 each.
I do wonder what will happen if Daybreak doesn't do too well and they need something to fill that timeslot.

Daybreak's only on for 12 weeks and if it does do bad they'll probably just fill it with Grey's Anatomy repeats or something.

Right now ABC has all five episodes online to watch. I am not sure how long they keep them there, but I just checked and they are all there now.

I doubt they'll be rerunning them this summer, either. The ratings were too bad last summer. If you missed an eppy, watch online. The only other option is likely to be to wait for the Season 3 DVD.

Unfortunately for some people, the newest version of iTunes raises the processing bar for viewing the videos. My laptop will no longer play iTunes videos correctly. Even the ABC version has problems. I was travelling when the first episode of this season aired, but just presumed I could download it on iTunes like I did several times last season. Didn't work! I ended up driving to my office at 10:00pm in order to watch the ABC version on my work desktop! :)
That forced me to buy a Tivo. Yes, I am that hooked. But I would like to have the first episode saved so that I can watch it again, but apparently I won't be able to. I wanted to re-watch all the episodes before the new batch started to air. Guess I'll have to start with the second episode...

Guys please keep in mind that the only ways you can discuss here about getting Lost episodes are from ABC and ITunes. All other places are infringing on copywrite policies and discussing them are against site rules. Thanks

Thanks for your help everyone. It looks like I'll have to spend some time at abc.com over the next little while. I watched the first episode of season 3 already, but the picture kept freezing up on me. Is there an easy fix for that, or is my computer just to slow?
