I am counting the minutes and ENJOYING the rerun from last week. Caught the Oceanic flight in the window this week. And, although I hate to admit it, I enjoyed seeing the bus "thud" again! Last week I almost jumped out of my skin. :o)

WOW!! Now that's how to open an epi!! Locke, Sayid (Welcome back NAVEEN!) and Desmond telling just Charlie and Hurley about Ekos death. Tell a few LOSTIES at a time to ease the blow of another death. Then Desmond, my HERO, rescuing Clair!! Go Scots!

"Do you know any songs about drunken, fighting, one legged women?" :D

The turning of the key made Desmond go back/forward in time?! :eek2:

Wow, how the hell did that happen.....Imagine if there were 2 desmonds, 1 on the island and 1 in his old life and both of them knew exactly what happened before he turned the key. Nutty idea, but just saying.......he's probably just crazy.

WOW!! Des and Penny together again! I wished I could have seen all the flashes one by one, they went by so fast. I wonder when D and P lived together and no wonder she was crushed when he left!! I feel Daddy dearest might be coming to screw it all up for them!

Des is traveling in time! OMG!! This is great! That must've been before Charlie was in Driveshaft as he didn't know how DES would recognize him. So was he pre-cog BEFORE he got to the island!??

So confused.......

So when Des turned the key, he was sent to the past.... So there is a Desmond reliving the past, and A Desmond on the island...?

Is he re-experiencing things? Or having visions? Or is this all in his head when he turned the key and he didn't travel time at all?

He's just re-experiencing things. There aren't 2 of people, i was kidding when saying that myself.

I forgot how annoying it is to watch with commercials. I usually wait until 10:20 and use my dvr.

But, how? Is he dreaming this? Is he remembering it? Even if he is remembering it, then it happened before. WHO IS THAT WOMAN?!

I'm sure all the East Coasters are laughing at us!

I like the fact that this whole show is a flashback. Am digging it.

So she is the Oracle version of lost? Telling the future, offering treats...

Edit: First the Matrix "reference", and then that last screenshot looked a lot like LOTR. So THATS where Des knows Charlie from!

All of this "flashback" is a dream Desmond had about his past, while he was unconscious from the hatch blast. Keep this in mind. Because Desmond's PAST didn't change, only events in the DREAM did.

Like all of us, he wishes he COULD go back and "do it again." But of course, we can't. We can only move forward. The problem for Des right now is, he doesn't think he can do THAT, either. The future can't change. Or can it? Hopefully, Desmond will find that it can. But it's a long road ahead for him. He has "lost faith." Unlike Locke when he lost his, though, Des isn't the kind to bluster about it. His struggle will be quieter. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. For sure, Desmond's story couldn't be in the hands of a better actor! :no2:

So even if this is a dream, that means Des still had some sort of time travel thing that allowed him to see the future? Or did he develop some super abilitiy to understand things at such a high level that he can predict outcomes.

Pretty interesting how as soon as he changed the past, he woke up again on the island.

I am going to rewatch it right now! This was the best episode since season ones opener. VERY interesting and kept moving forward, and back (hahaha), at a quick pace. Good going writers!!

The old woman is the monster, and the monster is examining Desmond's past and desires.
